Recap: York Falcons vs. Kirby Prep Griffins
The York Falcons's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They fell to Kirby Prep 37-33. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points York has scored all season.
Leading Kirby Prep to victory were Chris Lively and Rain Li. Lively scored 15 points along with five rebounds and two steals, while Li dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Li has scored at least a third of Kirby Prep's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nate Kawasaki, who scored two points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
York's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Kirby Prep, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-8.
York will head out on the road to take on the Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kirby Prep, they will be playing at home against the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Trinity Christian is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
