Volleyball Recap: Lakeland Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Lakeland Christian Academy lost against Culver Community back in September of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Cougars came up short against the Cavaliers, falling 3-0. The Cougars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-7, 25-21, 25-13.

Olivia Hawks paced Lakeland Christian Academy's offense, picking up nine kills. Hawks got some help from Lila Harmon and her 15 assists. Finally, Eva Meza kept Lakeland Christian Academy's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Lakeland Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Culver Community, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season.

Lakeland Christian Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Bremen on the 29th. As for Culver Community, they will challenge Elkhart Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
