Softball Recap: Seattle Prep Panthers vs. Garfield Bulldogs

Seattle Prep extended their losing streak to three on Monday, dropping them down to 6-15. They took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Garfield Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 5-4 back in March.

Erica Daher made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Another player making a difference was Amelie De LaPorte-Manahan, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.

As for Garfield, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-9. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games.

On Garfield's side, Ella Howard and Sula Yogi-Adams did most of the damage at the plate: Howard went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and three RBI, while Yogi-Adams went a perfect 4-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI Howard has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaitlyn Washington, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

As of now, neither Seattle Prep nor Garfield have any future games scheduled.
