Volleyball Recap: Jack Britt Comes Up Short at Home Against Union Pines

Jack Britt unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Union Pines Vikings by a score of 3-2 on Wednesday. The Buccaneers have struggled against the Vikings recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Jack Britt took Union Pines into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking three-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 19-25, 25-16, 25-13, 18-25, 15-12.

When it comes to explaining why Jack Britt lost, don't look at Elynoeh Cuevas-Vidal. Despite the final result, she had 19 digs and four assists.

Union Pines has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
