Baseball Recap: Northwestern Beats Southeastern Local for Their Third Straight Win

Northwestern got themselves on the board against Southeastern Local on Tuesday, but Southeastern Local never followed suit. They blew past the Trojans 7-0. This was payback for the Warriors, who suffered a 4-3 loss the last time these two teams met.

Not much got past Kaleb Valle, who gave up just two hits and racked up 11 Ks to keep Southeastern Local off the board.

At the plate, Northwestern got a massive performance out of Carson Kuczynski, who scored two runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Samuel Baggett was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

Northwestern was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Southeastern Local only posted a batting average of .080.

Looking ahead, Northwestern will be playing at home against Greenon at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Southeastern Local, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Emmanuel Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
