            Baseball Recap: Middlesex vs. Thayer Academy Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            Middlesex came into this matchup off a tough 12-run  defeat on Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Thayer Academy Tigers by a score of  5-3 on Saturday. Middlesex was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Thayer Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in May of 2024.
  Luke Warzynski made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-3 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double. That  stolen base was  his first of the season.
This is the second loss in a row for Middlesex and  nudges their season record down to 5-9. As for Thayer Academy,  the  victory  got them back to even at 6-6.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Middlesex will face off against Belmont Hill at 3:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Thayer Academy, they will challenge Portsmouth Abbey at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. The Ravens will roll in looking for their  11th straight  win, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight.
