Volleyball Recap: Brazoswood Comes Up Short

Brazoswood lost against George Ranch back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Buccaneers lost 3-0 to the Longhorns.

Brazoswood took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-15, 25-18.

Jane Tidwell paced Brazoswood's offense, picking up six kills. Tidwell got some help from Rylee Skinner and her 11 assists. Audrey Mulholland controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Brazoswood's defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-7. As for George Ranch, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Brazoswood didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Pasadena Memorial on the 23rd. As for George Ranch, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Manvel on the 23rd.
