Basketball Game Preview: Northside Baptist Christian Lions vs. Joppa-Maple Grove Rangers

Last Thursday, Northside Baptist Christian came up short against Century and fell 38-29. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Lions came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 266th in Kentucky, while the Centurions are ranked 632nd in Illinois).

Meanwhile, Joppa-Maple Grove played a tough game on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 54-33 to Century. The Rangers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-13.

Joppa-Maple Grove dropped their record down to 1-17 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Northside Baptist Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Northside Baptist Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Joppa-Maple Grove when the teams last played back in January, winning 33-24.
