Soccer Game Preview: Bloomington vs. Rubidoux

The Bloomington Bruins will face off against the Rubidoux Falcons at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Bloomington and four for Rubidoux.

Bloomington fell victim to Carter and their airtight defense last Friday. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Lions an easy 4-0 victory. While losing is never fun, the Bruins can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 842nd, while the Lions are ranked 258th).

Meanwhile, Rubidoux didn't have quite enough to beat Fontana last Thursday and fell 2-1.

Rubidoux's loss dropped their record down to 1-9-1. As for Bloomington, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Everything went Bloomington's way against Rubidoux in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, as Bloomington made off with a 5-0 win. Will Bloomington repeat their success, or does Rubidoux have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
