Recap: Vanguard College Prep Vikings vs. Brook Hill Guard
The Vanguard College Prep Vikings were the 43-36 winner over the Brook Hill Guard when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Vanguard College Prep took a 48-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Brook Hill on Friday. Vanguard College Prep has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Brook Hill got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Brenna Hill out in front who scored 17 points along with three steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Hill has scored at least a third of Brook Hill's points. Another player making a difference was Mylee Booth, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Vanguard College Prep's loss dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Brook Hill, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing McKinney Christian Academy the next time they take the court. Brook Hill will host McKinney Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Vanguard College Prep will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
