Baseball Recap: New Hope Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact New Hope can now relate to. They fell 9-5 to the Caledonia Cavaliers on Saturday. The defeat continues a trend for the Trojans in their meetings with the Cavaliers: they've now lost four in a row.

Brayden Edmiston made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Glenn, who went 2-for-3 with two runs.

New Hope's loss dropped their record down to 18-14. As for Caledonia, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 22-9 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Caledonia beat New Hope by a score of 9-5 later that day.
