Baseball Game Preview: East Lansing Trojans vs. Holt Rams

East Lansing hasn't had much luck against Holt recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Trojans will be playing at home against the Rams at 4:00 p.m.

Monday just wasn't the day for East Lansing's offense. They fell just short of DeWitt by a score of 2-0 on Monday. The match marked the first time this season in which the Trojans were not able to get on the board.

East Lansing saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Moye, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Holt). They blew past Everett 18-2 on Monday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.

The victory made it two in a row for Holt and bumps their season record up to 3-8. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.5 runs over those games. As for East Lansing, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8.
