The Newport - Bellevue Knights earned a 3-1 win over the Issaquah Eagles on Friday. The final result isn't all the surprising considering Newport - Bellevue's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Washington soccer rankings (they are ranked 21st, while Issaquah are ranked 103rd).

Newport - Bellevue has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 14 goals over those five games. As for Issaquah, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Newport - Bellevue will square off against rival Redmond at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Issaquah is set to face off against their familiar foe Eastlake at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
