Baseball Recap: Christian Academy Gets the Win

Christian Academy's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Paoli Rams by a score of 6-3. The Warriors' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Monroe Beardsley was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Beardsley was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI.

In other batting news, Nathan Tucker and Jonah Whitehead did most of the damage at the plate: Tucker got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs, while Whitehead went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Those two stolen bases gave Tucker a new career-high.

Christian Academy's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Paoli, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Looking ahead, Christian Academy will head out to challenge Portland Christian at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Paoli, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Mitchell at 5:00 p.m. The Rams are facing the Bluejackets at the right time seeing as the Bluejackets are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
