Volleyball Recap: Scott City Takes a Loss

Scott City lost against Saxony Lutheran last Wednesday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Rams lost 3-0 to the Crusaders. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Scott City took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-17, 25-18.

Reese Carter paced Scott City's offense, picking up six kills. Carter got some help from Miley Schwettman and her 11 assists. Taylor McMillan controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Scott City's defeat dropped their record down to 10-20-1. As for Saxony Lutheran, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-18-1.

Scott City has already played their next contest (against Advance), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Saxony Lutheran, they will take on Portageville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
