Baseball Recap: Mandeville Takes a Loss

Mandeville's tournament run continued when they took on Destrehan on Saturday. The Mandeville Skippers fell just short of the Destrehan Wildcats by a score of 6-4. The Skippers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tyler Fischer was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. What's more, he posted two doubles, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

Mandeville's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Destrehan, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

Looking ahead, Mandeville will be playing in front of their home fans against Archbishop Rummel at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Destrehan has already played their next matchup (against Dutchtown), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
