Volleyball Recap: Madera Comes Up Short

Madera suffered their biggest loss since April 30, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Sunnyside Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on March 7th.

While Madera was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-23, 25-19.

Madera has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-14 record this season. Sunnyside pushed their record up to 15-12 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Madera didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against McLane on the 27th. Sunnyside has also already played their next contest (against Edison), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
