Basketball Recap: Henderson Comes Up Short

Henderson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were dealt a 61-30 loss at the hands of the Canton Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 67-25 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2022.

Henderson's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Canton, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Henderson will be home for the holidays to greet Rusk at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Canton and Pittsburg will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The Eagles will be up against the Pirates' rather soft defense (which has allowed 57.86 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
