Softball Recap: Bishop Union Comes Up Short

After flying high against Frazier Mountain last Friday, Bishop Union came back down to earth. The Broncos came up short against the Rosamond Roadrunners on Friday, falling 15-8. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Roadrunners this season, with their most recent defeat being a 11-10 loss back in April.

Faye Spoonhunter was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs. Spoonhunter is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least one every time she's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Cambrie Lanphear, who went 1-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Bishop Union's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Rosamond, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-11.

Bishop Union didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 4-1 win against Desert on the 6th. As for Rosamond, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 13-3 victory against Boron on the 6th.
