Hayesville came into Friday's matchup looking for another win against Swain County, but Zeke Glaspie wouldn't allow it. The Maroon Devils simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Yellowjackets 28-0 thanks in part to Glaspie, who rushed for 131 yards and three scores. Swain County is undefeated when Glaspie posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise.

Swain County now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Hayesville, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-3.

Swain County has already played their next game, a 40-14 victory against Cherokee on the 17th. As for Hayesville, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Murphy at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th. The Bulldogs will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Yellowjackets surely won't give up without a fight.
