Baseball Recap: Six Straight Home Victories for Monroe

Monroe won the last time they faced Panorama and things went their way on Monday too. The Vikings put the hurt on the Pythons with a sharp 17-1 victory. The game marked the Vikings' most dominant win of the season.

Rodolfo De Rosas made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Luis Lopez was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

Monroe hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least four batters in three consecutive contests.

Monroe's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-5. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Panorama, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Monroe wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 10-0 defeat against Burroughs on the 8th. As for Panorama, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-7 loss against Northridge Academy on the 9th.
