Football Recap: Bibb County Choctaws vs. Pleasant Grove Spartans
Bibb County lost a close one when they played last Friday but unfortunately for them the defeat they were handed on Friday was a bit more commanding. They lost 35-14 to the Pleasant Grove Spartans. That makes it the first time this season the Choctaws have let down their home crowd.
Kaleb Freeman was his usual excellent self, throwing for 330 yards and four touchdowns while completing 74.2% of his passes for Pleasant Grove. Freeman has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last four times he's played. Pleasant Grove also got a significant boost from Collin Moore, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 94 yards.
Bibb County's loss ended a ten-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-3. As for Pleasant Grove, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.
Bibb County will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Opp at 7:00 p.m. on November 8th. Pleasant Grove does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
