Conner Hostetler turned in yet another pitching appearance with fewer than three walks surrendered on Monday. He struck out six batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and not a single walk). He is becoming a predictor of Chaparral's success: when he allows at most three hits the team is undefeated (and 8-9 when he doesn't).

Hostetler's strong effort led Chaparral over Douglass and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
