Recap: Copenhagen Golden Knights vs. Sackets Harbor Central Patriots
The Copenhagen Golden Knights suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Friday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 57-34 walloping at the hands of Sackets Harbor Central. Copenhagen has struggled against Sackets Harbor Central recently, as their match on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
When it comes to explaining why Copenhagen lost, one person who can't be blamed is Samuel Carroll. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Carroll is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last ten games he's played. Another player making a difference was Landon Sullivan, who scored nine points along with five assists.
Copenhagen's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-4. As for Sackets Harbor Central, their win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Copenhagen will take on Lyme Central at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Lyme Central comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Sackets Harbor Central, they will play host again and welcome Thousand Islands, where tip off is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
