Football Preview: Jefferson Saints vs. Highland Huskies        
        
		
             The Jefferson Saints will face off against the Highland Huskies at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one:  both  posted some lofty  point totals in their previous games.
 Last Saturday,  everything went Jefferson's way against Estes Park as Jefferson made off with  a  34-14 win.
  Demitrias Martinez continued  his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 220 yards and four touchdowns, while also rushing for 145 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.1 yards per carry.
 Jefferson didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off five passes before the game was over.  Giano Gomez led the group effort, picking up two of those  interceptions all by himself.  Enzo Hernandez was another major factor on D,  picking up  two  sacks and making 19 total tackles (3.0 for loss).
 Meanwhile, Highland came tearing into  last Friday's  contest with three straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 29 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Bobcats, posting  a  61-6 victory at home. The Huskies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by 23  points or more this season.
 One reason for the win was Highland's imposing  defense, which managed to get into the backfield for eight sacks.  Dominic Loera led the group effort, picking up four of those  sacks all by himself.  Brogan Palmer is also on a roll when it comes to  total tackles, as he's  now  made six or more in the last seven games he's  played dating back to last season.
 Jefferson pushed their record up to 3-4 with the  win, which was their third straight  on the road. As for Highland, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.
