Valeo Academy skates past Daystar Academy with ease

Recap: Valeo Academy Fire vs. Daystar Academy Falcons
The Valeo Academy Fire gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 48-20 victory over Daystar Academy.
Valeo Academy found their leader in underclassman Diego Aguilar, who scored 20 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Lukas Duda, who scored ten points along with five assists.
Valeo Academy's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Daystar Academy, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Valeo Academy will challenge Trinity Oaks Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Trinity Oaks Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 back in December of 2023. Daystar Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Islamic Foundation at 6:30 p.m. on February 1st.
