Soccer Recap: Meyer Comes Up Short

Meyer was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 1-0 heartbreaker at the hands of the Marlin Bulldogs. Meyer were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Marlin earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Meyer's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13-1. As for Marlin, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-10-2 record this season.

Meyer didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-0 loss against La Vega on the 10th. As for Marlin, they have also already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Robinson on the 10th.
