Volleyball Recap: Lake Nona Gets the Win

The Lake Nona Lions were able to grind out a solid victory over the Innovation Bulls on Thursday, taking the game 2-0.

Lake Nona never let Innovation on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-21.

Santiago Peralta paced Lake Nona's offense, picking up 11 kills. Peralta got some help from Jayden Serrano and his 18 assists. Jonathan Mckenna controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Lake Nona's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Innovation, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6.

Lake Nona wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Windermere on the 1st. As for Innovation, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Tohopekaliga on the 1st.
