Recap: El Camino Eagles vs. Christian Brothers Falcons
The El Camino Eagles fell victim to the Christian Brothers Falcons''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They had to suffer through a rough 49-0 loss at the hands of the Falcons. El Camino just can't catch a break and has now endured five losses in a row.
Christian Brothers was led to victory by Isaiah Jordan and William Littlejohn. Jordan picked up 93 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while Littlejohn threw for 102 yards and two touchdowns. Another big playmaker for Christian Brothers was Weston Green, who returned a punt for a touchdown.
El Camino's loss was their eighth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-8. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 8-1 Vista del Lago and 8-1 Rio Americano (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 58.8% over those games). As for Christian Brothers, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. El Camino will take on Del Campo at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Del Campo is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak. As for Christian Brothers, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Vista del Lago at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Vista del Lago is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
