Soccer Game Preview: Longview vs. Royse City

The Longview Lobos will square off against the Royse City Bulldogs at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Longview's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Royse City has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.

On Tuesday, Longview came up short against Rockwall-Heath and fell 3-1.

Meanwhile, Royse City fell victim to Forney and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They came up short against the Jackrabbits, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, Royse City can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 410th, while Forney are ranked fourth).

Longview's defeat dropped their record down to 14-3. As for Royse City, their loss dropped their record down to 2-14-3.

Longview was able to grind out a solid win over Royse City when the teams last played on February 3rd, winning 3-1. Will the Lobos repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
