Basketball Recap: Brush Takes a Loss

On Thursday, the Brush Arcs didn't have quite enough to beat the John F. Kennedy Fighting Eagles and fell 55-53. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Arcs came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 136th, while the Fighting Eagles are ranked 524th).

This is the second loss in a row for Brush and nudges their season record down to 13-9. Even worse, they were so close so many times: the defeats came by an average of only 2.5 points. As for John F. Kennedy, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-11.

Brush does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for John F. Kennedy, they will venture away from home to challenge Garrett Morgan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
