Soccer Game Preview: Glen Allen vs. Godwin

The Glen Allen Jaguars will square off against the Godwin Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Glen Allen is headed in fresh off scoring the most goals they have all season. Their defense stepped up to hand Matoaca an 8-0 shutout on Wednesday. The high-scoring effort was just what Glen Allen needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Their offense was hitting Matoaca from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Emma Sicat led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Godwin was forced to settle for a draw. They and Freeman finished up their match with a 0-0 draw on Friday.

Glen Allen is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-2-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 24 goals over those six contests. Godwin's draw gives them a new season record of 6-3-1.
