Biggs waltzed into their matchup on Monday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They blew past the Loyalton Grizzlies 18-1. The result was nothing new for the Wolverines, who have now won 11 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Gracie Sheppard made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been consistent : she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, Biggs let Arden Vines and Natalie Harris-Villalobos run wild. Vines scored three runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-4, while Harris-Villalobos scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. Those three runs gave Harris-Villalobos a new career-high.

Biggs was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .500. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .318 or higher in nine consecutive contests.

Biggs' victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-2-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.4 runs over those games. As for Loyalton, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Biggs beat the Grizzlies by a score of 20-2 later that day.
