The Ysleta Indians will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against the Bel Air Highlanders at 6:30 p.m. Ysleta will be looking to keep their nine-game home win streak alive.
Ysleta stacked a 16th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Saturday. They never let Parkland onto the board and left with a 10-0 win. Ysleta's pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last three contests.
Janelle Leanos made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and only two hits while striking out nine over six innings pitched. Leanos was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two RBI.
In other batting news, Danielle Lozoya was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Savannah Jurado, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, Bel Air unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They suffered a tough 20-8 defeat at the hands of Hanks.
