Baseball Game Preview: Yerington Lions vs. Battle Mountain Longhorns

For the second straight game, Yerington will face off against Battle Mountain. The Lions are taking a road trip to square off against the Longhorns at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Yerington is coming into the match hot, having won their last eight games.

Toby Juarez made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over seven innings while giving up four earned runs off eight hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two runs.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kyson Shramek, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one double. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. Alexis Martinez was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
