Football Recap: Southside Panthers vs. Fort Payne Wildcats

After flying high against Lee last Thursday, Southside came back down to earth. The Southside Panthers and the Fort Payne Wildcats were almost perfectly matched up on Friday, but the Southside Panthers suffered a 14-13 loss. The defeat continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now lost five in a row.

Dax Varnadore was the offensive standout of the game as he threw for 149 yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 39 yards. Fort Payne also relied on Varnadore, who's 57-yard boot wound up being the difference in the game.
