Volleyball Recap: Jeffersonville Gets the Win

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Jeffersonville and Charlestown, and Jeffersonville kept the tradition alive. The Red Devils were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Pirates on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Red Devils have posted against the Pirates since August 22, 2019.

The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-23, 25-17.

Jenna Kelley paced Jeffersonville's offense, picking up 21 kills. Kelley got some help from Riley Dobson and her 28 assists. Dobson also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Lola Rodriquez, racking up four apiece.

Jeffersonville's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Charlestown, they now also have a losing record of 1-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, Jeffersonville and Rock Creek Academy will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Charlestown, they will square off against New Washington at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
