Softball Recap: Gunderson Grizzlies vs. Hill Falcons

Martinez Poklong has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts every time she's pitched this season. Martinez Poklong was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with a home run, six RBI, and two runs.
In other batting news, Sabrina Gonzales was excellent, scoring two runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Breanna Bartek was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
Gunderson's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-3. As for Hill, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.
Gunderson will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Overfelt at 4:00 p.m. Gunderson knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with flashy run totals in its past seven matchups -- so hopefully Overfelt likes a good challenge.
