Volleyball Recap: Xavier Prep Comes Up Short

Xavier Prep was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Indio Rajahs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rajahs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 back in March.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-16, 25-19.

Indio was led to victory by Ethan Hernandez and Bryan Abrego. Hernandez had 21 digs and two aces, while Abrego had nine digs and two aces. Hernandez is on a roll when it comes to digs, as he's now had ten or more in each of the last 13 games he's played.

Xavier Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Indio, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-9 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Xavier Prep is set to challenge their familiar foe Banning at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Indio will take on rival Desert Mirage at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
