Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Victory Is Westlake Academy's Fourth in Last Five Outings

On Tuesday, the Westlake Academy Blacksmiths were able to grind out a solid victory over the Heritage Christian Athletics Falcons, taking the game 45-35.

It was another big night for Maya Sonday, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 13 boards. Her evening made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Mason Wack was another key player, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 17 boards.

Westlake Academy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-4 record this season. As for Heritage Christian Athletics, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Westlake Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 45-35 win against Weatherford Christian on the 5th. As for Heritage Christian Athletics, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 40-23 victory against Joshua Christian on the 5th.
