Sylmar is 9-1 against Van Nuys since September of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Spartans will take on the Wolves at 4:00 p.m. Sylmar will be strutting in after a victory while Van Nuys will be coming in after a loss.

On Wednesday, Sylmar made easy work of Panorama and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Spartans.

Sylmar walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-22, 26-24.

Meanwhile, Van Nuys was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to Reseda.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-9, 25-17, 25-11.

Van Nuys' loss dropped their record down to 1-16. As for Sylmar, their win bumped their record up to 15-10.

Sylmar took their victory against Van Nuys when the teams last played back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Spartans since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
