Recap: Glenbrook North Spartans vs. Glenbrook South Titans
The Glenbrook North Spartans lost against the Glenbrook South Titans back in October of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Glenbrook North was the victim of a rough 42-21 loss at the hands of Glenbrook South. Glenbrook North was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-6.
Nate Canning was on fire for Glenbrook South: he rushed for 330 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.4 yards per carry. Canning was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 58 yards. Dominick Rejkiewicz was another key contributor, gaining 109 total yards and a touchdown.
Glenbrook North's loss was their eighth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 2-7. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 13.5 points per game. As for Glenbrook South, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season.
Glenbrook North does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Glenbrook South will square off against Barrington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Barrington will be coming into the matchup with an undefeated record on the line.
