Softball Recap: D.C. Everest Wins High-Profile Matchup Against Pacelli

D.C. Everest faced Pacelli in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Evergreens sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Cardinals. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Evergreens.

Addison Kluck spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up 18 Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 16 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, D.C. Everest's victory was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Sydney Spear, who went 1-for-2 with one run.
