Softball Recap: Hialeah-Miami Lakes Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Hialeah-Miami Lakes's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They never let the Edison Red Raiders get on the board and left with a 16-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Trojans, who have now won three contests by 15 runs or more so far this season.

Daniela Castejon made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Castejon was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Seti Surtain, who scored two runs while going 4-for-2. Another player making a difference was Mia Pichardo, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Hialeah-Miami Lakes always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .750. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hialeah-Miami Lakes will venture away from home to face off against Northwestern at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Edison, they will head out to take on Central at 3:30 p.m. on March 12th.
