            Basketball Recap: Centralia Orphans vs. Herrin Tigers        
        
		
        
        
            Centralia waltzed into their contest  on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They enjoyed a cozy  61-43 victory over the Herrin Tigers. Given the Orphans' advantage  in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 27th, while the Tigers are ranked 89th), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 Defeat or not, Herrin got some senior leadership from  Kyrese Lukens and  Jared Staple Jr..  Lukens  posted 16  points, while  Staple Jr.  earned 13 points. Staple Jr. has been hot recently, having also posted two or more  steals the last three times he's  played.  Grady Cox was another key player,  putting up seven  points.
