Basketball Recap: Ellsworth Comes Up Short

Ellsworth suffered their closest loss since December 5, 2024 on Monday. They fell just short of the Bellaire Eagles by a score of 42-39. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 40-37 back in December of 2024.

Ellsworth's defeat dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Bellaire, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-9.

The future could be bright for both Ellsworth and Bellaire: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Ellsworth will look to extend Traverse City Christian's eight-game losing streak when the meet at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Bellaire will try to hand Pellston their 14th-straight loss when the two meet at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
