Basketball Recap: Carter Rodgers' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Northfield over Bluffton

Northfield lost against Bluffton back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Northfield Norsemen fell 41-31 to the Bluffton Tigers. The matchup marked the Norsemen's lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Several Norsemen players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Carter Rodgers, who went 5-for-10 on his way to 13 points. Another player making a difference was Parker Oswalt, who posted six points and six boards.

Northfield has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season. As for Bluffton, they pushed their record up to 10-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northfield won't have much time to rest: their next match is against North White at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bluffton, they will head out to square off against Hamilton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
