Football Game Preview: Eureka vs. Independence

On Friday Independence take on Eureka at 7:00 PM. Independence are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the contest prepared for a fight.

After flying high against Owyhee two weeks ago, Independence came back down to earth. Independence found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 32-58 punch to the gut against Wells last Thursday. This match was a close 32-34 at the break, but unfortunately for Independence it sure didn't stay that way.

Meanwhile, Eureka might be getting used to good results now that the squad have five wins in a row. They were gifted an easy win as McDermitt wound up forfeiting 0-2.

Eureka's victory lifted them to 6-1 while Independence's defeat dropped them down to 1-4. Two forfeits in a row aren't very likely, so Eureka better be ready for a battle.
