Volleyball Recap: Valparaiso Vikings vs. Plymouth Pilgrims/Rockies
For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Valparaiso and Plymouth have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Saturday. The Vikings fell 2-0 to the Pilgrims/Rockies. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pilgrims/Rockies apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.
The final score came out to 25-16, 25-20.
Avery Mullin paced Valparaiso's offense, picking up eight kills. Mullin got some help from Nicole Bontrager and her nine assists.
Valparaiso's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Plymouth, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3.
