Volleyball Recap: Valparaiso Comes Up Short

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last five times Valparaiso and Plymouth have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Saturday. The Vikings fell 2-0 to the Pilgrims/Rockies. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pilgrims/Rockies apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-20.

Avery Mullin paced Valparaiso's offense, picking up eight kills. Mullin got some help from Nicole Bontrager and her nine assists.

Valparaiso's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Plymouth, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-3.

Valparaiso has already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against Penn on the 30th. As for Plymouth, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Warsaw on the 30th.
