Softball Recap: Narraguagus Find Success

After losing to Washington Academy the last time they met, Narraguagus decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Knights had just enough and edged out the Raiders 2-1.

Natalie Stanwood spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on four hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Paidyn Cashman, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two triples and one run. Those two triples gave her a new career-high.

Narraguagus' win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Washington Academy, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-3.

Looking ahead, Narraguagus will welcome Shead at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Washington Academy, they will head out to square off against Orono at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
